Since 1996, 3D Design has served structural steel fabricators across North America, building a reputation for accurate, fabrication-driven detailing.
With over 35 years of hands-on industry experience, we specialize in Tekla Structures–based 3D modeling and steel detailing for fabrication-driven projects. Our focus is fabricator-first: delivering clean CNC output, coordinated BIM models, and shop-ready drawings that streamline production and reduce costly field adjustments.
Every shop and erection drawing is independently checked prior to issue, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and efficient project execution from model to field.
We specialize in existing structures, renovations, and complex tie-ins — applying practical constructability knowledge to develop efficient, fabrication-ready detailing solutions. Specialized experience with scan point cloud data and consultant BIM models allows accurate modeling of existing conditions. By combining advanced modeling technology with real-world shop and field insight, we help ensure projects move smoothly from model to shop to site.
Document Management
We use a secure proprietary build drawing App that tracks all issued drawings, revisions, and transmittals in real time. Clients can quickly and confidently confirm the latest drawing revision on mobile or desktop devices. Together with organized SharePoint-based file management ensures drawings are always easy to locate and downloadable.
